serrano ham fritters and cheese from ARAGÓN
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 50 gr.Teruel ham.
- 50 gr. butter.
- 100gr. artisan cheese from Aragón.
- 4 eggs.
- 6 spoons of flour.
- 1/4 litre of water.
Ham fritters are a delicious hot appetiser.
First, we put in a saucepan, over low heat, water, butter and some salt. Bring to the boil, add the flour and stir until the batter is very thin and without any lumps.
While we make the batter very thin, chop the ham and grate the cheese. Then, when the batter is very thin, add the ham and cheese. Then we mix everything until batter does not stick to pan. Once this happens, remove the pan from the heat, add eggs and mix with the batter. Once done, let it stand for half an hour.
Once the mixture has rested half an hour, get plenty of oil in a frying pan. When the oil is hot, spread on a spoon a little olive oil, and grab a little mixture at a time and pour it slowly into the pan.
When the fritters are golden brown, take them out of the pan and place on a serving platter.
